Elf Created with Cricut Artiste

This week I created another Jumbo Candy Cane topper,
and then took it one step further and made his body..
I think he turned out just darling! He is about 12" tall.
EVERYTHING was cut using the Cricut Artiste
which you can order HERE, except the bell on his
hat which was a Marvy Punch.

Cricut Bunny-New paper pieced cutie!

This is Hunny Bunny-Created with the Art Philosophy Cartridge.
My second post on the CCD
Simple cutting, minimal artistic ability needed to make fun Critters
like these. PLUS, you can make them bigger or smaller. Imagine how big these would be if you used the "fit to page" feature! I will have to try it, and see how big they would be. Hmmm..
This is my own original pattern using the Art Philosophy Cartridge....ENJOY!
Honey Bunny

These are the parts I used from this cartridge- The height of the bunny is 9" tall.

If you are unsure of any of the shapes I am referring to here..go to
the SHAPE INDEX located in the tabs under my blog title..

Part sizes not pictured above are 1" circle for eyelid-cut in half
Two White 1" circle for eyes, 2 black 1/2" circles for pupils, and 2 color of choice for behind pupils. 3/4" triangle for nose.
Add 2 strips for teeth under the cheeks.
Sponge all parts before assembly..
Start with the 4 1/2" back body part(rounded tap) and build from that. Add the Circle Body, then add the chest. Pop up the head. add the layers to the ears. Attach behind the head.
Dryfit the face to get a pleasing look. The white eyes sit slightly under the cheeks, As well as a bit of the black pupils. The teeth get attached UNDER the cheeks too.
Pop up the eyelids and attach over the eyes. Make sure he doesnt look mad!
Add touches of white gel pen for whiskers, dots in the eyes give him life.
Lastly attach the fluffy scalloped tail.

Wesley The Cat

This is the first day of my new blog Cricut Critters Designs (CCD). I am featuring animal, bugs, birds, any kind of critter that can be put together using Cricut parts. OK, That sounds strange..So we will call it paper piecing.
These are not part of an image that can be totally just cut out with
the Cricut. Some thinking goes behind these, and well..I think its much more fun to see and create your own Critter with just your own imagination.. This is my Cricut Critter Design below..

WESLEY

These are the parts used to make "Wesley"
using the Art Philosophy Cartridge.
ADD 2 white 1" circles for the eyes

Lets get started...
Start with the bottom left piece on the photo (rounded tab)
that is your back body, apply white ink around the edges of all
the black parts. Add the 4 1/2" tummy circle, then add the white
chest after you clip the edges to make it look like fur. Then pop up the head part. Adhere the pink ears (sponge with black ink around edges) to the black ears, and attach to back of head. Dry fit the face parts starting with the cheeks, the 1" white circles for the eyes, then the nose to get a pleasing look. Tuck the tongue (3/4 oval cut) up under the cheeks before you glue it down. The black pupils go on top
of the blue bases with just enough showing to make it a blue eyed cat (or green whatever your preference is). Dont put them
right in the center of your white circles, move them over just a bit.
Then pop up the eyelids and attach. Add touches of a white gel pen to dot
the eyes to give his eyes life, add whiskers, and draw on some claws.
Lastly attach the tail and add a colar.
